Balkan Urban Movement is happy to announce that we are a part of the Consortium within the project “ALAS – It’s All About Sustainability” together with organizations Ampersand (North Macedonia), Network for European Citizenship and Identity (Cyprus), Celje Youth Center (Slovenia), New Horizons (Italy) and Backslash (Spain), which is a lead.

The ALAS project is a mobility project for youth and youth workers, whose main goal is to empower youth and raise awareness in terms of sustainability and to promote entrepreneurship under the prism of respect for the environmental protection. From the ALAS project, it is proposed that this search for sustainability be carried out from personal experiences within associations or entities, encouraging analysis of its reality with the aim of improving it. The search for solutions and, during this, the learning and awareness of environmental problems, will empower young people and include that vision in a lasting way so that new opportunities are opened for them to undertake their own projects.

The objectives set to achieve the project goal are the following:

-To create a network of long-term collaboration between international youth organizations in the field of sustainability.
-To develop skills in young people in terms of sustainability and entrepreneurship, and provide them with resources to help them succeed in the field of entrepreneurship.
-To generate awareness and knowledge of the environmental reality, through the concept of sustainability and the analysis of the near reality of young people.
-To use non-formal education methods to develop entrepreneurship skills under the premium of sustainability and respect for the environment.
-To facilitate new opportunities for young people at risk of exclusion or with fewer resources through their empowerment and tools in entrepreneurship and sustainability.
-To promote international cooperation in the field of sustainability and entrepreneurship.

This project is supported by the Erasmus+ programme of the European Union.
