The Closing conference within the project “Looking Forward – Visualizing Intercultural Dialogue” was held from 15th till 17th September 2020 in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina. The Conference served as an opportunity for youth organizations and workers from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia and Montenegro to meet and discuss the importance of intercultural dialogue in building lasting peace in the Balkans through online activism, agreeing on new opportunities for cooperation and starting new partnerships.
The Conference was held on the premises and with the support of the Center for Culture and Youth of the Municipality Centar Sarajevo. During the conference, awards were presented to the 3 winning teams that collected the most likes and received the best marks from the jury within the competition that was realized within this project. Kemal Salić from the Ministry of Civil Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina presented them with awards. The awards were action cameras that the winners will use to prepare new materials inspired by this project. On that occasion, the media and the winners were addressed by representatives of partner organizations BUM, PRONI and Prima, as well as by the director of the Center for Culture and Youth of the Municipality of Centar.
The project, supported by the Regional Youth Cooperation Office (RYCO) and the United Nations Peacebuilding Fund (UNPBF), was implemented to promote diversity, intercultural dialogue and reconciliation in the Western Balkans region by involving youth workers and organizations in online activism.
