The consortium meeting within the project “WE THE GUARDIANS – Effective practices to safeguarding youth in sport activities” was implemented from October 5th to 9th 2022 in Skopje, North Macedonia. The meeting enabled project partners to analyse the results of the research on violence experience by young people in grassroots sports and to draft two major project contents through a series or workshops and discussions. The first being Policy recommendations on safeguarding and protecting young people in sports, and the second one is Capacity-building program for advocacy and multiplication of policy recommendations.
The aim of the project “We The Guardians” is to work with sports clubs on creating youth protection and safeguarding policies against all types of violence, in order for them to be able to offer the safe space for each young person that is engaged or intends to be active in organized sports.
“We The Guardians” project is co-funded by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union and is implemented by a three-member consortium comprised of NGO Balkan Urban Movement (Serbia), NGO Interkultura (North Macedonia), and Swiming club Alex Delfini (North Macedonia).
