Ministry of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Serbia is General Sponsor of the Guitar Open Festival in 2013.
In this year, as well as the past 2 years, Ministry of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Serbia has recognized Guitar Open Festival as an excellent example for young people and for their improvement of opportunities for spending time actively and productively, encouragement and development of quality of non-formal education of young people, informing about issues that are important to them, as well as encouraging cooperation that provides a possibility for experience exchange and empowerment through long-term partnerships in Serbia and abroad.
However, there is still no response from the City Government of Subotica related to support to the Guitar Open Festival. We want to highlight the fact that this is the 7th consecutive year of the festival, and that the absence of support from the city government would endanger the festival as well as its future potential that it obviously has, as there are a lot of talented young people from Serbia and the wider region.
