During 2021 and 2022 Balkan Urban Movement will be a member of the consortium within the project “Graffiti Art Takes the Street”, together with Embaixada da Juventude (Portugal), Eco Logic (North Macedonia) and uniT GmbH (Austria). The main goal of the project is to offer young street artists, especially those who have lost their income during the COVID-19 lockdowns, a space to freely express their creativity and promote their artworks to a large number of people who usually wouldn’t have a chance to see them. The young artists will utilise graffiti and mural-painting techniques in their work within this project, thus further promoting and legitimizing this form of contemporary art which has started to gain tracks in recent years. Through these grafitis the project participants will promote the importance of environmental protection, human dignity, youth participation, social equality and other values necessary for the decent living of every individual.

We are inviting you to follow our work on social media and websites in coming months to learn more about the project and find out how you can get involved.

The project “Graffiti Art Takes the Street” is supported by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union.
